I tried to remove it using add and remove program option in windows

os but can't remove it.

There is a removal tool on Symantecs website. Just go to: http://www.symantec.com/symnrt and download it. Good for you...getting rid of Norton will speed up your system. After you get rid of it, go find the free AVG virus scanner...it works great.

ctrl+alt+delete

then go to task manager

then go to "Process"

then END PROCESS named ccapp

and liveupdate
