Also, PC Magazine has free download offerings. Go to www.pcmag.com and look for downloads. They also have a subscription download service but you'll not find anti-virus there.

stay away from free anti-virus webties with free software to download. I know it sounds great...I tried one. Most of them are acutally sending your computer viruses instead of preventing them.

The one I downloaded nearly crashed my laptop and my mom's comptuer (since we are on the same network)

I would go to Microsoft, they will direct you to free anti-virus software such as Trend-micro and AVG. Can also look at downloads.com
mcafee.co you can download it.or in download.com there are many of them or you can go to zonelabs.com or zonealarm
Avast, EZ Trust what do you expect for free. I will stick with Avast or AVG. :o)
