Does anti virus only scans the user you using or all?

Hello,

If I run a virus scan on my user, will the system scans other users as well? Does it apply to all anti virus softwares? Thanks

Does anti virus only scans the user you using or all?nortan antivirus

regular anti virus only scans local computer (the one you are using) it scans drive c, or if partitioned, drive d or e, etc. some anti-virus also scans other user computers if you are connected or networked.

basically new anti-virus also scans outgoing emails and it scans download items from the net.

also all anti virus can be configured to scan a particular HD, partition, file, user or other computer being connected or networked. try tinkering with the options for your info

It scans all files available to your user, including shared folders.
anti virus r used to scan the whole hard disk so the data of the other users are on th same hardisk so yes
