Difference between anti-virus and anti-trojan software?

First of all anti-virus is a trojan blocking, removing, and prevention type of software. But some do not include ad-ware and mal-ware types of removal or prevention. One of the best I've tried for free without paying anything is "AVG". It has all of these your looking for and will detail the information for the beginner to an expert on how to protect your computer.

Here is a great website and a free download of this software for you.

Hope this helps,

A Trojan and a Virus are about the same thing. Most anti virus sofware would also detect Trojans. You may want your "anti-malware" software to also protect you against adware and spyware.

well trojan is just one type of virus so i would assume antivirus would cover more types of viruses
A trojan is a virus.
anti-trojan will only hunt and remove trojans.... Not very effective...
