the system is not accepting to run any anti-virus software. the folder or the program is closing as soon as i open it. how to remove the virus and what anti virus software will help. please help

Ok, first try running your av in safe mode by rebooting and press f8. Select safe mode. then select administrator and run your av(make sure it is updated before going into safe mode). remove anything it finds. Go back to normal mode by rebooting. Get this program process explorer and look to see what is running on your system. look for processes that are not related to microsoft and other programs. if your not sure, right click on the process and google it. if you find a suspectous process, right click it and choose suspend. do that for all the suspectous processes then go back down the list and kill them by right clicking on them. then get this program autoruns and go through the tabs and delete ONLY the entries relating to the proesses. then reboot and everything should be ok.

Hey Satish ! Some virus might be causing problem in install a anti-virus. first of all try to install Ad-aware from www.lavasoft.com and then update it and run a full system scan. After that install norton or AVG. If still you are not able to install a antivirus successfully then you have to re-install windows
you can try running AVG Dos edition(from floppy), or AVERT/Portable Clamwin on a USB. have you tried booting and then installing in safe mode?
