Why am I suddenly getting over 200 spams a day? I have a spam blocker and anti virus software all up

Hi,I am the same have all software to combat spam BUT alas they come in droves all addressed to various server email addy's .

Even via free web addy's they seem to be blanket sent across net I never open just delete them, damn nuisance.

They either flog shares (all same share ) from different senders or upsize your donger, or Viagra the list just goes on.

Even when you block them they just change by 1 letter their addy and you keep getting them...

This is 200 past your spam blocker? Here are a couple of thoughts.

Did your volume of spam suddenly jump, or did your spam blocker just stop working? Could there be a virus that disabled your spam blocker?

Is the spam blocker on your machine or on your ISP (mail host)? Once my ISP changed the way their spam blocker worked, so all my filters that used to catch the spam had to be adjusted to the new format.

In the future to minimize this problem, I suggest getting a new email address for your friends and important email. fastmail and nerdshack are two good free ones where you can get pop access. You can also use one of the free temporary email hosts like spamgourmet to create temporary addresses for sending to companies or on lists.
