Currently I downloaded SpywareBlaster but it only stops spyware from being installed, I need to clean my computer with a reliable anti-spyware program. Does anyone know of any good ones?

Your computer may be slow because of a virus, or it might be slow just because it is old. Windows 98 is no longer being supported by Microsoft. In other words, Microsoft is not even *trying* to update W98 as bugs and vulnerabilities are exposed.

The best way to clean up your computer is to go back to scratch. Back up any critical documents, and keep that number as small as you can. Dump everything possible. Then, erase your hard drive and reinstall Windows. With a fresh copy of Windows on your drive, you will be free of viruses and spyware. Then, reinstall Spyware Blaster and anthing else you have as a protectant, and finally, resinstall your programs. Again, don't put anything back that you don't have to have. If there are games or whatnot that you might want someday, save them to CD's and wait for "someday" to come. If it does, you can install it then. Right now, less is better than more.

If you follow this approach, you will be okay until you spend some time on the Internet. Within days (even hours), the spyware and viruses will start to attack again. If you have good defensive software, you may be all right for a while, but as I said, Windows '98 is just not a safe operating system to run any more.
