Uninstall any other antivirus and/or Internet Security program that may be running on your computer before you install any other Internet Security or Antivirus software. This can be done by going in your Control Panel under Add/Remove Programs. Delete anything that has to do with Antivirus or Internet Security. Then install current program that you purchased or downloaded.

Download a program called CCleaner(it's free and it's brilliant! They ask anyone who can, to make a donation, but you can download it completely free). You can then remove Norton through your contol panel %26gt;add or remove programs. Click on Norton and clik on remove. After you have done this, do a registry clean with the above program and you should be all set to install your new program.
If this doesn't work you might have to get someone to clean your registry by hand as it seems that Norton leaves traces behind that make the new program difficult to install. However I have done exactly what I told you and it's worked.
