I am thinking about downloading Firefox to my laptop. How does it work with Trend Micro anti-virus s

I currently have Internet Explorer and I am looking to change. My husband just brought a MAC so he has Safari. I have a Dell and just want a better browser, any suggestions?

As I think your question has been adequately answered, I'll only add a browser suggestion. I primarily use Opera as my browser. It hasn't been around as long as Mozilla/Firefox which I also use occassionally, but I like it more. Unfortunately there are still some sites out there that aren't browser-neutral, though I'm finding it more and more rare to come across any that I can't access with either Opera or Firefox.

Firefox works fine with all major AV software.

There are things I like about FF and some about IE7.

Either one works fine.
You should have no problems.

Here is the requirements:

Software:

* Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 or later

* Mozilla Firefox 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.5

* Mozilla 1.7.12

* Display: Monitor that supports 800 x 600 resolution at 256 colors or higher
