Will 2 Anti Virus softwares on the same computer conflict with each other?

Actually,i have an pirated version of Mc Afee anti virus software(in this part of the world,where i live,its very difficult to get a genuine software and even if u do manage to find one uve to pay in US dollors which turns out to be very expensive).i ve dicided to do away with the pirated one and use the AVG free Anti Virus software.

Will both the softwares running on the same computer conflict with each other?Please Advice.

I've had Norton and AVG running at the same time and never had a problem, but it will eat up memory. Some people claim that running two virus apps at the same time will cause instability and possibly crash your system.

There's so many systems out there and all configured differently that what will work great on one will cause problems on another. Best to try it first and if it works for you great
