I cant download anti virus for vista?

i was suppose to download the Online Protection Software from SCB YAHOO but it saids that i already have a anti-virus software, it saids that if i want to install the Online Protection Software from yahoo, i should delete the anti virus i have.. but the problem is even i already deleted the Anti Virus software i have, it wont still download the Online Protection Software.. please help me

Well, There are many reasons:

1. Built in Windows Defender (if that is what you deleted)

2. Windows Firewall with Advanced Security (somewhat revelent)

3. UAC (User account control). The account is so limited that it won't let you download it... (least thing you should try disabling.

4. Antivirus you deleted have lead traces of itself on your computer (not fully deleted)

5. There can be a Yahoo antivirus on your computer that you don't even know it's there.

1-3= disable firewall going to control panel and find Windows firewall with Advanced Security and find a button to disable

4. Go to manufacteur website of you antivirus and see if they have an uninstaller (eg.Symantec) to remove all traces (including registry keys) of the antivirus product

5. Go to Programs and Features and search for any other Yahoo antivirus. If there is Uninstall it. It could also be integrated in products too...

You do have to get rid of your old antiviris.
don't download it. you don't need that from SBC Yahoo. You should use third-party anti-virus software. AVG Free Edition is very good.
