Unable to install any Anti-virus?

Hi Friends,

I am facing one problam in my system. i am not able install any Anti-Virus software. i think my system already has Virus.

when ever i opened the Folder which is having the Anti-Virus Set up that folder Closing automatically.

if i open task manager to see the what are the process it is also closing automatically.

if i run the anti virus soft ware set up ,after 5 to 10 sec it is Disabling

This situation is way too difficult to troubleshoot without another computer.

If its a desktop computer you are calling for and your got another desktop computer as well, then the best way would be to update the antivirus on your other computer. Attach this hard drive as a slave on the other computer and do a full virus scan. Possibilities are that some of the windows file which might have been infected with the existing virus needs to be deleted by the anti-virus software in order the heal the computer. Then in that case if all windows file are not present you might face problem using the computer smoothly even after a full virus scan as there will be missing essential files.

So the best solution is to reformat the hard drive and then install a fresh copy of your Operating System.

If you want to try your hands on before going for a OS Installation, try to disable all the program in the msconfig startup list. click on services tab, hide all microsoft services and then disable all. Apply and restart the computer and then try to install the antivirus program again. But honestly i dont think it will help a lot, coz these days smart viruses re-enable them automatically. But still you can try that.
