Anti-Virus Prevx1?

Hi guys, I have been using the anti-virus software Prevx1 for a couple of days now. It seems to be a very effective programme, but I need independent advice on it. My worry is if it is a malware, its potential to harm is boundless as it scans all programmes executing on my computer and it even knows that I posted this question to Yahoo! Answers.

Prevx1 is a safe program. It is not any form of malware. I used it for quite some time. The only reason I uninstalled it was that it used a bit too many system resources (memory) for my computer. Otherwise I was quite pleased with the program.

BTW, Prevx1 is not a subsitute for traditional anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions on your computer. It is Intrusion Protection Software and should be used as an additional layer of defence alongside your regular malware protection.

I will agree with the last poster on one item, most of the anti virus programs do have issues with regards to security and that the free ones are not as good as the ones I have tested and paid for.

Zone's has it issues also, but she failied to mention it.

Your question was not about what was best but about Prevx.

I still have Prevx installed on my computer and yes there are some serious security questions. I installed it on a beta machine I do testing with, and the biggest issues from a security standpoint are that it automatically starts up and its not an easy thing to do shut off even through the registry.
