Norton Anti virus or internet security?

Is there really much difference between the norton anti virus software and the norton internet security?

I don't know which to get. All i want is for my pc to be protected from virus's and from people who want to hack into my computer (ie Spyware)

norton virus scan is a stand alone virus scan but my advice is get internet security, that includes virus scan, privacy, firewall, and anti phishing, and everything else . be sure to disable windows firewall if you install norton and it would be a good idea to download windows defender which is free and also spybot s%26d (search %26 destroy) which is free these are independent spyware scans both of which cover slightly different areas It would not be a bad idea to download windows live if you haven't already because it has lots of security built in just make sure that there are no conflicts (like with the firewall) but there really shouldn't be best of luck
