From my own personal experiences, you probably are already infected with a virus, etc. and it is preventing you from downloading Anti-Virus software. Although i cannot name any specific viruses, i've seen this happen on more than one occasion.

You could try downloading somewhere else and burnning the file to a CD possibly.
do you already have a anti virus program on your pc? as they don't like sharing :)
Your firewall might be blocking it. Go to the site and turn off the firewall and do the download. Then turn your firewall on.
I think a virus has already attacked ur system which is not allowing to load antivirus.. U can try to scan ur entire sytem from CD drive with latest antivirus tool.. Ele, take a backup of existing important files and format the disk, reload the OS from boot floppy..
hmm.i use ntl netguard and have no problems...get onto ntl and see what they can do..also un install any old anti virus software you have on your pc...panda is a swine to get rid of...
