Running a computer without Virus Software?

I recently bought a computer and due to a delay in the shipping the anti-virus software I ordered will not arrive for two more days. Whenever I start my computer it says that it is dangerous to run the computer without it, but it will only be for two days. How dangerous is it?

As long as you are on the internet, doing email or IM you are at risk. You should be OK for two days unless you are going to bad sites

PCTools products do get good reviews. The good thing is they have free versions of their products. They work great. Spyware Doctor from the Google pack is a must. I highly recommend it. I bought Webroots Spysweeper and spyware doctor finds stuff spysweeper does not. Having both is a perfect combo and I recommend running two anti-spyware products.
