I am in the IT field and we use Webroot Spysweeper with antivirus on almost all of our clients. Norton is terrible! Dont waste the money, but if you have it its better then nothing.
The best anti-Virus is a free antivirus.. AVG and Avast are both great.

Hey man. Im using this software called Net com 3 right now. It has worked wonders over avast norton and mcafee. And it doesn't slow down your computer.

i have had nothing but trouble with the norton 360. fortunately i also have spy bot search and destroy. it picked up the problems norton missed. ( my laptop is a dell 1210) good luck. ps. what is with guy who gives everyone a negative vote here.
This is just a matter of opinion. Statistically Kapersky is the best. But I like to use AVG free.
I would suggest the Webroot family:
